The Grand Massif ski area, created from connection of the slopes of Samoëns, Morillon, Sixt-Fer à Cheval, Les Carroz d'Araches and Flaine, covers 40,000 hectares.
Located in Haute Savoie near Geneva and Chamonix, it is the 3rd ski area of the French Alps.
Due to its location it enjoys exceptional snow conditions, especially in the spring.
The upper part of the ski area offers an unforgettable view of the Mont-Blanc range (Aiguille du Midi, Les Drus, Aiguille Verte ...).
Four points deserve special mention:
• La Piste Marvel: Green piste located at Morillon which offers beginners 5 km of descent through hundred-year-old firs,
• La Piste des Cascades: 14 km blue piste starting at Col de Platé in Flaine and ending in Sixt,
• La Combe de Gers: ungroomed black piste with 800 vertical drop. A treat after a good snowfall.
• The 3 Jam-Parks in the area to satisfy fans of FreeStyle ski or snowboard.

265 km of runs - 144 tracks - 73 skilifts an chairlifts.
